The competition is divided into
Artists – Professional photographers
Young Talents – Students of photography

Nominated are internationally active, renowned photographers, as well as students from the Ostkreuz - School of Photography, Berlin. Their contributions constitute the artistic positions on the topic of the E 4.0.
We are looking for works that, by way of their artistic and narrative quality, have the ability to make visible a suggestive interpretation of the world in which we live and thus to contribute thoughts to a broad discourse in society on the future.

Using the perspective of art on industry and the complex societal issues
of our time to open up new forms of thinking and reflecting on the world in the 21st century.

Submissions
The submissions to the competition consist of the two areas image and statement.

Images
The images may be created via any photographic medium and are not subject to restrictions as regards the technologies or manufacturing processes used. The whole body of work may consist of one image or a series of up to 10 images. All submissions will be presented online in Artists and Students.
Written statement
The written statement contains the description of the image(s) and a short comment on the own artistic view and analysis of the topic of the competition. Parts of the statement will be used for the online presentation and the eventually published book.

Additional contributions and presentations

Making of

In addition to the submitted works and the statement, all artists and students have the option to present a comprehensive “making of” feature relating to their creations in the context of the E 4.0.
A designated showroom is available at “www.entrepreneur4point0.com” – the online platform of the competition – which may be used for the presentation of images, videos, and written texts. The “making of” provides the opportunity to impart a deeper understanding of the submitted works, but it is not assessed as part of the competition.

All participants may present their curriculum vitae and selections from their already existing portfolio on the website.
